Music is an important part of worship and congregational life at Olivet. There are a number of possibilities for involvement, no matter what your age. Olivet adult Choir
Thursday, 6:45-8 p.m. | September-May
This choir is open to all singers and rehearses every Thursday from 6:45-8 p.m. The choir sings on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. worship services and at festival services September-May.
Olivet handbell Choir
Tuesdays, 5:15-6:30 p.m | September-May
This handbell choir rehearses Tuesday from 5:15-6:30 p.m. The handbell choir rings once a month, usually at both Sunday worship services, and at festival services from September through May. If you are interested, contact Olivet's Music Director.
Olivet Orchestra
Occasionally
Olivet's orchestra and brass ensemble play throughout the year at special services. The orchestra leads the 4:30 p.m. Christmas Eve worship service and Music Sunday each year.
Celebrate! Worship Band
Sundays, 10:30 a.m.
The Celebrate! Worship Band plays each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. worship service. The Celebrate! band is always looking for interested persons to get involved with the worship team; old or young, singers instrumentalists, players of the harmonica or the trombone!
Youth Choir
Wednesdays | September-May
The youth choir practices weekly September-May on Wednesday evenings and will sing multiple times throughout the year. K-5th grade will practice following Wednesday school from 6:50-7:15 p.m. and grades 6+ will practice prior to Confirmation from 6:30-7 p.m.
BRASS ENSEMBLE
Occasionally
Our brass ensemble performs 3-4 times per year during worship services. Other opportunities for brass players are available throughout the year.
